Charity Work

Alan has a long history of providing media support to charities, especially as a consequence of his working abroad in developing countries and seeing first-hand the terrible living conditions of the millions of people who live in such regions. He has used media coverage to raise awareness of polio and typhoid in Africa, and the effect of mass poverty in Arabia and the Congo, especially on the horrific growth in the number of street children. He has also highlighted the plight of endangered species in these areas.

As a linguist, Alan will continue to undertake working assignments in these countries and is delighted to use his knowledge to support charities striving to support development, eradicate poverty and protect the environment.
